Die Familien sehen sich mit sozialen Barrieren konfrontiert, und insbesondere deren Kinder sind gefährdet, selbst psychische Gesundheitsprobleme oder eine Suchtkrankheit zu entwickeln. Das spiegelt sich auch in der Betreuung dieser Familien wider. Eine umfassende Weiterbildung der Mitarbeitenden der einschlägigen Hilfesysteme ist daher erforderlich, um den Familien die bestmögliche Unterstützung zu bieten. , Da Sucht die ganze Familie betrifft, arbeiten mehrere Hilfesysteme mit diesen Familien, wie beispielsweise die Jugend- und Suchthilfe genauso wie die Schule und das Gesundheitswesen. Hier setzt das Projekt der kleineren Partnerschaft „Working with families with addiction issues - Qualification makes the difference!“ an. Es entwickelte – zusammen mit betroffenen Familien – ein Curriculum für alle Organisationen, die Weiterbildung für Fachkräfte im Bereich der Sozialen Arbeit anbieten. Von diesem Curriculum können nicht nur Sozialarbeiterinnen und Sozialarbeiter, sondern auch Psychologinnen und Psychologen, Erzieherinnen und Erzieher, Pflegekräfte und Mitarbeitende in Jobcentern profitieren. Das Konsortium unter der Koordination des Landschaftsverbands Westfalen-Lippe hat das Projekt gemeinsam mit acht Partnereinrichtungen aus Belgien, Griechenland, Finnland, Italien, Lettland, Portugal, Spanien und Tschechien umgesetzt. Neben dem Kommunalverband umfasst das Konsortium eine Stiftung, ein wissenschaftliches Institut, ein kleines und mittelständisches Unternehmen, zwei Nichtregierungsorganisationen und je eine lokale, regionale und nationale öffentliche Einrichtung. , Diesem Projekt ging ein Vorgängerprojekt mit dem Titel „make the difference“ (welches das Konsortium in Rahmen des CERV-Programms Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme overview - European Commission, durchgeführt hat) voraus. Dabei zeigten sich Lücken, die sie mit dem aktuellen Erasmus+ Projekt schließen wollten. Der Fokus des Vorgängerprojektes lag auf der verstärkten Kooperation zwischen den Betreuenden von Suchtkranken und der Jugendfürsorge. In diesem Projekt soll darauf aufbauend ein Curriculum unter Einbezug von betroffenen Familien erstellt werden. Das Curriculum dient der Unterstützung von Fachkräften aus unterschiedlichen Bereichen des Sozial- und Beratungssystems und möchte dadurch die Arbeit mit den suchtbelasteten Familien verändern und verbessern. Darüber hinaus soll die Fachlichkeit der Hilfeeinrichtungen erhöht und die Zusammenarbeit zwischen den unterschiedlichen Einrichtungen intensiviert werden. Das Material kann von Lehrkräften zur Schulung von Fachkräften und Mitarbeitenden von Hilfseinrichtungen, vor allem im Gesundheits-, Schul-, Sozial- und Kinderschutzsektor, verwendet werden. Für die Entwicklung und als Grundlage des Curriculums wurden die Erfahrungen und Bedürfnisse von betroffenen Familien aus den beteiligten neun EU-Staaten mithilfe von Interviews erhoben, um ein möglichst vielschichtiges Bild zu generieren und Beispiele darzustellen. Dabei wurden Interviews mit Fachkräften, die mit den betroffenen Familien in ihrer täglichen Arbeit zu tun haben, ebenso einbezogen wie Erfahrungen von betroffenen Familien selbst. , Es wurden sieben Module entwickelt. Jedes Modul ist in sich abgeschlossen und kann daher auch einzeln genutzt und gelehrt werden. Es wird jedoch empfohlen, die Module der Reihe nach zu absolvieren. Die ersten beiden Module „Sucht in der Familie“ und „Verstehen von Sucht“ bilden zusammen den Bereich Kenntnis und Hintergrund. Die darauffolgenden Module „Kommunikation mit Familien mit Suchtproblemen“, „Elternfokussierte Unterstützung“ und „Unterstützung von Kindern“ spiegeln den Schwerpunkt Kompetenzen und praktischer Ansatz wider. Diese werden ergänzt durch die Module „Integrierte Ansätze und Vernetzung“ sowie „Selbstfürsorge und Burnout-Prävention für Fachkräfte“. Im Vorfeld der Module werden vier verschiedene Szenarien bzw. betroffene Familien mit ihren jeweiligen Herausforderungen vorgestellt, anhand derer die Modulinhalte erarbeitet werden. Die Module umfassen jeweils einen Überblick über die Lernziele und die Inhalte, sodann den eigentlichen Inhalt, eine Anleitung für die Lehrkraft und ergänzende Materialien. Am Ende des Curriculums finden sich Hinweise der Projektgruppe zur langfristigen Verankerung der Lerninhalte. Ein Teilnehmender der Abschlusskonferenz hat die Ergebnisse des Projektes für „[s]eine Arbeit mit jungen Menschen [als] wirklich hilfreich“ eingeschätzt. Durch die im Curriculum verlinkte projektbegleitende Online-Umfrage zur Nutzung des Curriculums sammelt das Konsortium durchgehend Rückmeldungen von Nutzenden und entwickelt das Material weiter. , Die Partnerschaft stellt einen Querschnitt aus Nord-, Mittel- und Südeuropa dar und hat in diesen Ländern die erstellten Projektergebnisse bereits durch umfangreiche Verbreitungsmaßnahmen bekannt gemacht. Die Partnereinrichtungen planen den Einsatz des Curriculums für die zukünftige Nutzung in den Aus- und Fortbildungen von Suchtberatenden und für die Schulung von Kinderschutzdiensten. Die Inhalte des Curriculums können dabei flexibel genutzt und bei Bedarf für Schulungen oder spezifische Kontexte, wie beispielsweise für den Justizvollzug, den Kinderschutz oder die Ausbildung von Lehrenden, übersetzt und implementiert werden. In Belgien dienen die Inhalte des Curriculums als flexible Grundlage für die bedarfsgerechte Fortbildung von Fachkräften und Organisationen, u.a. im Justizvollzug. In Finnland wurde das Curriculum in Trainings mit Kinderschutzdiensten integriert. Auch in Italien, Tschechien und Lettland werden Teile des Curriculums in der Ausbildung für Lehrende und Sozialarbeitende genutzt. Portugal arbeitet an einer landesweiten Verbreitung in Kooperation mit Fachstellen und Ministerien. Sowohl die beteiligten Organisationen als auch andere Organisationen und Institutionen bzw.
